L&M Gymnastics

L&M Gymnastics stood for Laurie and Michael, but Laurie was the program's heart and soul. A second-generation gymnast herself, Laurie was a teacher, bookkeeper, operations manager, marketing manager, and president. She did it all, without computers, without even a phone to start.

There are many gymnastics clubs in this world, but Laurie created something unique and special with L&M Gymnastics. While initially including bars and beam, Laurie soon took the program to the basics of non-competitive tumbling and dance. Over the years, Laurie taught hundreds upon hundreds of girls and boys. Most kids grew up and grew away, gymnastics being a lovely memory in the past. A rare few, however, stayed in contact with Laurie for the rest of her life.

A family affair

Misha and Shannon were along for the ride as well. Shannon was even at L&M Gymnastics in utereo, with Laurie teaching all the way up until her due date. Misha taught with Laurie and Michael until she graduated from college.

Side by Side

While Laurie was the heart and head behind L&M Gymnastics, it really was a family affair. Not only did Laurie and Michael build a house together, and raise a family together, but they also worked together. Day in, day out, they were side by side.
